Suppose it is possible for you to make the life of starving Haitian children better simply by juggling a soccer ball? Every time you tap the ball with your foot or your knee, you would be helping to make the world better for children who are suffering. The Juggling for Joy Juggle-a-thon allows you to do just that. Joining our Juggle-a-thon is a perfect way for soccer players to get involved and help children in need. Twice a year, during the fall and spring soccer seasons, soccer players all over the country will be getting together at a local soccer field to juggle. With each tap on the ball (juggle), you can earn one dollar for Juggling for Joy from your sponsors. The money you raise will be used to provide food and medical care for children in Haiti who desperately need our help. One hundred percent of the money raised will go to this worthy cause. It will also fund a soccer league for girls in the remote villages of Haiti. Currently, this soccer league has almost 4,000 players from 29 villages on 58 soccer teams! Sign up today to juggle at Goddard Memorial Park in Warwick, RI on October 4, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (show up anytime between those times) on Fields F and G. (To sign up, go to the "Register" page. See the "How to Participate" page for step-by-step instructions.)If you can't make it to our Juggle-a-thon, you can collect sponsor donations and juggle with your friends in your own backyard!
There are a few different ways to get involved in this organization. You can simply sign up to juggle at the designated field near you. Find sponsors to pledge $1 for each tap on the ball you make up to the maximum dollar amount they are willing to pledge or just ask them to make a donation. Register on-line, then show up with your soccer ball at the field (has to be on the list--see Field Locations) on Juggle Day. Juggle until you just can't juggle any more!
You can sign up your entire soccer team, whether it’s your school team, your town team, your recreational team, or your premier club. You and your teammates can meet at the local field and juggle away. Your record may be 10, or 100, but all that matters is that you are helping make life better for children in Haiti.
