How to Participate
Here's how to participate:

1.  If you are signing up yourself, go to the "Registration for One" page and complete the form. Print a copy of the page to bring with you on the Juggling Day. We need your contact information on that form to contact you in case there is any change. Also, check our website often.

2. If you are signing up your team, go to the "Registration for Team" page and complete the form. Print a copy of the page to bring with you on the Juggling Day.

3. Next, ask family, friends, teachers, etc. to sponsor you. They can pledge $1 for every tap on the ball up to a specified amount or they can just pledge a specific dollar amount.  Have them complete a sponsor form and write a check for the amount they are willing to contribute to "Cross International."  Ask them to write "Juggling for Joy" on the memo line.

You can mail the checks to Juggling for Joy at P.O. Box 804, East Greenwich, RI 02818, or you can bring them with you on the Juggling Day.  Print a "Pledged Donations Record" from this website and fill out a line for each donation pledged/received. We are asking that each participant do their best to raise at least $150.00.

4. Check the "Location Near You" tab for the field in your town where you can juggle on Juggling Day. Our first Juggle-a-thon will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick, RI   Fields F and G.  If there is no location close to you, send us an email as soon as you sign up, and we can help you set one up. Maybe you can even run that location for us. Or, if you can't get to our Juggle-a-thon, get sponsors and juggle with your friends in your own yard.

5.  Show up on Juggling Day with a soccer ball and come meet other soccer players in your area.  We will have a band, food, and contests with prizes for best jugglers, most unusual tricks, and most money raised. There will also be a silent auction with some great items, like a football signed by Tom Brady!

6. When you arrive at the field, go to the Registration Desk and sign in. At this time you can turn in any donations and pick up a certificate recording the community service hours you spend participating.  Then grab your soccer ball and juggle until you can't juggle anymore!  Report back to the desk with your total number of juggles.  They don't have to be in a row.  Every tap on the ball counts so start practicing. Use our Tally sheets to record the amount you juggle.  You can either print them from this webiste or look for some at the event tables at the Juggle-a-thon.  Keep a record because we will have prizes for the most juggles.

7. If you want to, print thank you forms off our website found at "Thank you forms."  Fill this form out to let your sponsors know your new juggling record and how much money they helped you raise for Juggling for Joy.
Don't forget to collect your donations and mail them in to Juggling for Joy.

8.  Stay in touch with us.  We have two Juggling Days per year every year.  Visit our website and we will let you know how much was raised with your help and how the funds were used to help children around the world. If you send us your picture or juggling video, we'll even try to put it on our site.

9. If you want to run a location near you, please feel free to email us at jugglingforjoy@gmail.com. You can earn hours toward your high school or church community service requirements.

10. Or if you cannot attend our Juggle-a-Thon, you can simply collect your donations and juggle with your friends in your own yard.

Any questions, email us.
